I worked around 25 hours a week and before by hours were suddenly cut to about 15 hours, which they explained that I wouldn't work so much that they would have to provide benefits. Also, the minimum wage in CT has been gradually rising and those employees who do make more than minimum wage have not seen their wages raise accordingly, so some full-time employees make only a dollar more than minimum wage, event though the difference was more like three dollars before the age increase. After four years, and with my role almost exclusively as a cake decorator which makes $11-13, I asked to be raised to $10 and hour (which the minimum wage was going to be raised to soon anyway) and was denied.
